2009 Academy Schedule Revised

To better serve local agency needs, we have added a fourth Basic Patrol Academy to our schedule for calendar year 2009.  We had intended to replace one of the Meridian sessions in 2009 with a regional patrol academy, most likely in north Idaho.  We are uncertain at this time when the first regional patrol academy will be up and running.  To ensure agency hiring and training needs are met, regardless of the timetable for a remote academy, we will hold four sessions in Meridian.

Demand for Meridian facilities now exceeds availability.  Adding a patrol session causes a domino effect on other academies due to facility limitations.   The revised schedule of all academies to be held in Meridian in 2009 is attached below.  We do not anticipate changes to this schedule regardless of the progress on a regional patrol academy.  The entire updated 2008-2009 academy schedule can be found at  http://www.idaho-post.org/academies/ACalendar.
