Idaho POST Council Administrative Rules

Retaining Level I Reserve Certification

POST Rule 131.07

  • Once you are certified as a Level I Reserve, you must work a minimum of 120 hours yearly as a reserve officer to keep your certification  valid.  If you do not meet this requirement, you certification will become inactive.            
  • The agency must keep on file the number of hours each reserve officer works for verification of certification purposes.
  • Complete forty (40) hours of continuing training related to law enforcement every two calendar years begining January 1 following the date the officer was certified.
