Once you are certified as a Level I Reserve, you must work a minimum of 120 hours yearly as a reserve officer to keep your certification valid. If you do not meet this requirement, you certification will become inactive.
The agency must keep on file the number of hours each reserve officer works for verification of certification purposes.
Complete forty (40) hours of continuing training related to law enforcement every two calendar years begining January 1 following the date the officer was certified.
