"Here are pictures of a windshield of a Ford pickup and an aerosol can, both with some obvious damage. This pickup was parked in the extremely hot sun and a can of compressed air was left inside it. As you can see, this resulted in a violent and potentially lethal incident. Fortunately no one was near the truck and there were no injuries.Improperly storing or transporting this type of material is dangerous at any time but with the extreme temperatures of this summer we should all take a minute to look in our vehicles and remove any items that could come to this end. When this can exploded it would have had an effect very similar to a concussion grenade and even if a person in the vehicle was not struck by the can it would most likely have done severe damage to a person's ear drums and inner ear. So let's all be careful, remain aware of hazards, and be thankful that no one was injured."
