ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS

PATROL DEPUTY

 

Applications will be accepted until position is filled. 

Position available as of July 1, 2007

Salary range from $26,700 to $29,000 depending on experience. 

Sign on Bonus:

Certified Officers who sign on with the Butte County Sheriff’s Office will receive a $1,500.00 sign on bonus.  Minimum two year commitment required

Benefits package available:

Two (2) weeks paid vacation after a year.

Life Insurance.

Sick leave currently accumulated at 1 day per month to 30 days.

Medical, dental, and optical insurance.

Retirement through Public employee’s retirement system of Idaho (PERSI).

Each deputy is assigned his own police unit to take home within Butte County.

Cost of Living:

Butte County and its neighboring communities offer some of the most scenic landscape in the country.  Low cost of living combined with easy access to many out door activities, including hunting, fishing, camping, and ATV trails make this area a great place to live and raise a family.  Butte County is one of the few places where reasonably priced real estate is readily available.

Selection Guidelines:

Must meet the requirements prescribed by Idaho Code, meeting POST minimum standards for police officers.

Must meet Butte County Sheriff’s Office Minimum Job requirements.

Must complete Oral interviews, extensive back ground, and drug screening.
