BONNEVILLE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE

The Bonneville County Sheriff's Office currently offers open test enrollment for available entry level Patrol and Jail Detention Positions for the following applicants; (1) Idaho POST Certified Peace Officers or Jail Detention Officers, and (2) Graduates of college programs that render applicants Idaho POST Patrol or Jail Detention "certifiable," and (3) Certified Peace Officers or Jail Detention Officers from other states, and (4) accredited College Criminal Justice or related field graduates.  Open test enrollment is in addition to bi-annual testing offered in the spring and autumn.  

Bonneville County offers a competitive wage and benefit package that currently includes;  A performance based wage scale, incentive pay, specialty assignments, promotional opportunities, health, dental and eye insurance, paid vacation, paid sick leave, overtime pay.  Sheriff's Office issued equipment currently includes a uniform allowance, issued .45 handgun and duty belt, intermediate weapons, patrol .223 rifle, patrol shotgun, patrol vehicle with associated equipment for patrol deputies who reside in Bonneville County.  In-service and or specialty training is available annually.
