	Bannock County Sheriff's Office Accepting Applications Detention Officer DETENTION OFFICER The Bannock County Sheriff's Office is currently hiring for the position of Detention Deputy. The job requires contact with inmates, the ability to maintain safety and security within the jail, and proficiency in computer skills, must have good people skills and be self motivated. . Statrting salary is $13.85/hr with an excellent benefit package. The successful candidate will be required to attend the POST Detention Academy and complete on the job training. You will be trained in all areas of the jail. We work 12 hours rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays. You will have to pass a criminal records check, a background investigation, be drug free, pass a POST physical fitness test and complete a polygraph test. Applications can be picked up at the Bannock County Sheriff's Office, 5800 So. 5th, Pocatello ID, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
