Basic SWAT School

Description:

The Southeast Idaho S.T.A.R. Team will host/teach a 40 hour, Idaho Post Certified,  Basic Swat school.

             

This school will serve as an introduction to the following SWAT Team concepts, and training will be conducted in all of the following areas:         

  • NTOA suggested guidelines for Swat
  • Swat terms/definitions/hand signals
  • Principals of Tactical Operations
  • SMEAC
  • Camouflage/cover and concealment KOCOA
  • Team Movement
  • Containment
  • Team Shooting and Qualifications
  • Run and Gun Competition
  • Introduction to NFDD, Chemical Munitions, Less Lethal
  • Mechanical Breaching
  • Introduction to Explosive Breaching
  • Briefing/Debriefing
  • Deliberate and Dynamic Entry’s
  • Vehicle Assaults
  • Introduction to Tactical Emergency Medicine
  • K-9 and Swat
  • Officer/Citizen Rescue
  • Scouting/Raid Planning
  • Search Warrant Procedures/Threat Assessment
  • Port and Cover
  • Barricaded Gunmen/Hostage Rescue
     
    Class size is limited, and early confirmation is encouraged.

0800 hrs on April 29, times will vary during the course.

Cost:

$275.00 + $25.00 per Officer range feeto be assessed to those agencies that are not members of the Bannock County Multi-Agency Law Enforcement Range.
