Recent promotions within the police department have created opportunities for experienced police officers to serve the community.

Successful candidates will possess a combination of education and experience equivalent to completion of sixty hours of college course work including courses in law enforcement and two years of recent law enforcement experience within the last three years. Candidates must embrace the concept of community policing and perform a variety of specialized duties as assigned.

Successful candidates will undergo an extensive background investigation that includes psychological, polygraph and medical examinations.

06/13/07 the updated pay range is $19.11 to $23.49 DOE.
