This is the P.O.S.T. Approved BASIC FIREARMS INSTRUCTOR COURSE for those interested in becoming a P.O.S.T. Certified Firearms INSTRUCTOR. Upon completion of this course attendees shall have the skills necessary to instruct officers.

NOTE: All students will be required to shoot at least a 95% the first day on the POST "Short Course" or they will not be allowed to finish the rest of the training!

         100% Attendance is required for completion of this 40-hour course

 Attendance does not guarantee Instructor certification; upon satisfactory completion of the course application and POST Council approval is required to become a POST Certified Firearms Instructor.

PREREQUISITE:  Successful completion of INSTRUCTOR DEVELOPMENT and  3 yrs. Full- time law enforcement experience.

8.  Ammunition:  Pistol -1000 rounds     Shotgun – 10 rounds of “00” buck, 50 round of low base

                                                                                  and 10 rounds of Slug
