Chief Stephen Bywater

Stephen Bywater is currently serving as the Chief of the Criminal Law Division, Idaho Attorney General's Office.  He earned his law degree from the University of Utah in 1976. He has been a deputy attorney general since July 2000. He is a former Prosecuting Attorney and Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for Cassia County serving in those positions from 1977 to 2000. He is a former member of the Board of Directors of Idaho Prosecuting Attorneys Association and the Idaho Criminal Justice Council from 1994 to 2000. He was the Public Defender for Minidoka and Cassia counties from 1976-1977. He was appointed to the POST Council on July 29, 2004. (http://www2.state.id.us/ag/)
