CAUTION : Career Camp is not for wimps! You'll be up at dawn every day for physical training. You'll spend part of each day in classrooms, on field trips, or seeing special demonstrations. By the time you finish the week on Friday, you will have put in over 60 hours of strenuous activities checking out careers in police work. You'll learn about Corrections, Probation and Parole, Adult and Juvenile Detention, and other state and federal agencies, including the Treasury Department and the FBI!

The 2009 Law Enforcement Career Camp is sponsored by the Idaho Peace Officer Standards & Training Academy. POST hosts in-service and basic training for Peace Officers throughout the state. The Career Camp is specifically designed for High School Juniors and Seniors who are interested in careers in Criminal Justice. Young men and women with such desire are strongly urged to apply! If you're accepted to attend the Career Camp, you'll enjoy a week packed full of information and introductions to the many career opportunities in the Criminal Justice Field. Here's what you'll do:
